Fit: Military inspired pieces can either look retro, stylish or like a costume. This vest is unfortunately the latter. The frog loop buttons make it feel cheap and if you try to wear the vest open you won’t look cool like Nina Garcia—it will look like this.

Versatility: Halloween is just around the corner. Throw on a mini skirt, black boots and a soldier hat to star in your own Nutcracker.

Trend Factor: Military is huge for fall. But there are better options at Forever 21 to join the draft.

Demographic: Everybody—who wants to march on October 31.

Color Blocked Leggings ($22.00)

Rating: Wear it Forever

Fit: Most. Comfy. Things. Ever. Seriously, I did not want to take these off. If I hadn’t promised myself I wouldn’t buy anything that shopping trip they would be on my legs right now. Granted, the light color made my butt look two sizes larger than it is but a tunic or long sweater would quickly fix that.

Versatility: Really, how often can you wear pale gray leggings with rhinestones at the ankles? But they definitely beat your college sweats for a lazy Sunday.

Trend Factor: Military is in, and the leggings had a bedazzled militaristic feel—like the sweater that had too many pearls even for Jen.

Demographic: Everyone

Rose Print Dress ($24.80)

Rating: Buy It Maybe

Fit: So I adore this dress. Cute, sassy, summery, girly, it’s got it all. Naturally, I was pretty annoyed when I found out it didn’t fit me at. all. I had even purchased before I found out how supershort it was on me (sorry no pic) and superbig on top. But I know I’m just one normal 5′7″ girl and you’re whatever you are so there is a chance it could work for you. In fact, the other day I saw some girl walking down the street in this dress and it fit her just fine. Maybe this isn’t the most helpful review, but I just know there are lucky girls out there that can wear this. And I hate them all. (No I don’t, that’s just my jealousy talking.)

Versatility: Depending on how long this is on you, it can work for anything–at the office with a cardigan, hanging around town, school.

Trend Factor: Just an ideal summertime dress being all adorable.
